Cara Delevingne Art: ‘Dream’  This painting is a portrait of Cara Delevingne, titled “Dream,” where I capture her still, tranquil expression with her eyes shut, conveying a peaceful, dreamlike quality. The painting is a celebration of beauty and stencil art, blending spray paint with intricate shapes, forms, and swirls that come together to form her serene face. The combination of free-flowing design and careful stencil work reflects the stillness and dream-like essence of the reference photo, where Cara’s calm demeanor inspired me to create something equally peaceful but with a touch of artistic complexity.

The painting itself is a 4-layer stencil piece. Each layer builds upon the previous one, creating depth and dimension, while the carefully cut stencils, designed and cut with precision, serve to highlight the delicate nature of her expression. The process was deeply influenced by the tranquil beauty of the reference image, where I used the knife almost like a drawing tool, cutting and shaping the stencils to form the contours of Cara’s face. This gave me the freedom to let the design flow organically, almost as if I were drawing directly on the canvas with the spray paint.

The ‘Dream’ painting has a distinct 60s dreamlike aesthetic, channeling an atmosphere that feels a bit like a David Lynch film crossed with the surreal, otherworldly feel of Pink Floyd album art. The soft, flowing stencil lines capture the calmness of her expression, evoking a sense of both beauty and mystery.
