Rather than altering the timeless design, I kept the focus on its simplicity, recreating Mike Scott’s figure in gentle shades of grey to match the black and white tones of the cover. The painting is set on a square canvas, perfectly reflecting the shape of the LP/CD, maintaining a minimalist approach to honor the album’s visual legacy.
Painted on 12oz cotton box canvas and ready to hang. Painted with a wrap around effect so there are no unsightly nails or staples,
or visible canvas.
Acrylic paintings are painted in a mixture of Golden, Liquitex and Winsor and Newton professional acrylic paints. Gouache paintings are painted in Liquitex. Spray painted paintings use
MTN 94, Montana Gold and Molotow.
All painting are finished with a non yellowing spray matt varnish.
