Breathe

SOLD

Breathe, this pop art painting portrays the powerful, emotional moment when a woman, masked and strong, finally lets her breath out at the end of a battle. I wanted to capture that feeling of relief, the exhale that comes after standing firm through struggle. The mask symbolizes her readiness to fight, but now, having endured, she is allowing herself a moment of rest.

ABOUT THE PAINTING

WHAT INSPIRED ME

Breathe, this pop art painting portrays the powerful, emotional moment when a woman, masked and strong, finally lets her breath out at the end of a battle. I wanted to capture that feeling of relief, the exhale that comes after standing firm through struggle. The mask symbolizes her readiness to fight, but now, having endured, she is allowing herself a moment of rest.

This spray paint painting piece reflects the resilience and strength of women who constantly fight battles, whether personal or societal. Even in the quiet moment of exhalation, there’s a sense of power and determination. The painting is a feminist portrayal of endurance, of pushing through hardships and finally letting go of the tension.

The energy in this painting draws from pop culture influences and the comic book style, blending symbolism and strength to create a portrait that speaks of that momentary relief after overcoming challenges… Can I be happy now, can I let my breathe out?
