Alien Story, Toy Story / Aline Mashup Painting. I had so much fun creating this pop art painting, where Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story faces off with a Xenomorph from the Alien films! This piece is a playful recreation of the tense, dark scene from Alien 3, where the Xenomorph gets right up in Ripley’s face, only to realize there’s an alien inside her and walks away. But instead of Ripley, I’ve swapped in Buzz Lightyear, changing the entire vibe of the moment!

It’s this hilarious contrast that makes the piece special, the intensity of the scene, with a menacing Xenomorph, gets completely flipped on its head with Buzz standing there, all heroic and clueless. The whole thing feels both serious and absurd, as Buzz faces off with this terrifying alien but still has that “to infinity and beyond” energy!
For me, it’s all about playing with opposites, taking a scene known for its fear and tension and turning it into something unexpectedly funny. If you love quirky mashups or just enjoy seeing pop culture icons collide in strange, fun ways, this painting will definitely give you a laugh!
