the outlaws

The Outlaws" mural Co-Lab Street Art by Hannah Adamaszek & Stephen Quick

Painting and being on the run is way more fun with friends

Back in 2015, at Bristol’s Upfest, I finally met the brilliant Hannah Adamaszek—a street art queen I’d secretly been a massive fan of for years (don’t tell her!). Fast forward a few chats about art, business, and the size of her hands, and we became BFF’s. After sharing a few walls at events, we had a the idea why not team up for a proper street art collaboration? The result? “The Outlaws”—two badass, empowering cowgirls painted in our unique styles but seamlessly blended into one killer mural.

We each painted a woman’s portrait, back-to-back, using the same pose and proportions. Then came the fun part—merging our styles into a single bold piece that celebrates strength, femininity, and rebellion. It’s like a mashup of street art magic, Hannah’s ethereal vibe, and my pop art punchiness.

Honestly, it was probably the most fun I’ve ever had painting a wall. Between brainstorming ideas, layering colors, and laughing at our height difference and grabbing a few too many beers.

Bristol, collaboration, street art, laughs—this project had it all. And Hannah, thanks for being such an awesome partner-in-painting. Cheers, Han! xxx
