The Tobacco Factory celebrated its 25th birthday, marking a milestone for a place that holds a special spot in my journey as a Bristol street artist. This venue gave me my very first wall to paint and has been the home of the paint jam I’ve run for the past few years. I absolutely love working with these guys!

To commemorate the occasion, Upfest organized a special paint jam and graciously invited me to participate. For this event, I decided to expand on my Powerful Women series, blending feminist themes with pop culture influences, but this time, I went all-in on a comic book aesthetic.

My piece, titled ‘Power,’ is a pop culture mash-up featuring a warrior woman embodying strength and resilience. She’s equipped with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mask, a Star Wars lightsaber, and lucky charms inspired by iconic franchises, Harry Potter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and The Legend of Zelda. With her fierce expression and battle-ready stance, she screams determination, accompanied by a bold text box that reads: ‘It was then she realized, no power on this Earth could stop her.’
