ABOUT THE PAINTING

WHAT INSPIRED ME

This pop art painting features a masked female heroine with vibrant blue hair, a single tear falling from her eye, and a 3D comic book-style text box that reads:

“In a dream you saw a way to survive and you were full of joy.”

This emotionally charged quote that inspired this painting was written by Jenny Holzer, a renowned American neo-conceptual artist, is known for her use of bold text to provoke thought, confront injustice, and champion truth. The quote speaks to the resilience of the human spirit especially the strength of women in the face of adversity.

This feminist pop art portrait blends street art techniques, comic book aesthetics, and emotional depth. The masked woman represents both protection and power, a visual metaphor for the hidden battles women fight daily and their inner resolve to keep going.

The text box is a detachable 3D element
