This original pop art painting is a vibrant tribute to Kurt Russell, celebrating four of his most legendary roles: MacReady (The Thing), Wyatt Earp (Tombstone), Snake Plissken (Escape from New York), and Jack Burton (Big Trouble in Little China).

As one of the biggest stars of the 1980s, Russell became an icon of action, sci-fi, and cult cinema. To honor his legacy, I created a bold, colorful pop art portrait using acrylic paint and spray paint on canvas. Inspired by Warhol’s Monroe box composition, I painted four distinct monochromatic portraits, each sitting against a high-contrast, over-saturated background in true pop art style.
Painted on 12oz cotton box canvas and ready to hang. Painted with a wrap around effect so there are no unsightly nails or staples,
or visible canvas.
Acrylic paintings are painted in a mixture of Golden, Liquitex and Winsor and Newton professional acrylic paints. Gouache paintings are painted in Liquitex. Spray painted paintings use
MTN 94, Montana Gold and Molotow.
All painting are finished with a non yellowing spray matt varnish.
ALL my painting are original, painted by me, in my studio and are not a print, a digital reproduction or some AI guff.
