Stormtroopers have a reputation across the galaxy for missing every shot, so I figured, why not swap their blasters for something completely harmless… like a banana? That quirky idea sparked the creation of Stormtrooper Banana, a pop art painting that pokes fun at one of the most iconic (and inaccurate) characters in Star Wars history.

This piece is painted using as few lines as possible, capturing the essence of a stormtrooper with a minimalist, two-tone black and white design. Instead of a weapon, I gave him a Warhol-inspired banana, transforming him into a humorous, pop culture icon. The simplicity of the lines adds to the boldness of the composition, letting the visual joke speak for itself.
The Stormtrooper Banana image has become even more special as Vanessa Marshall, voice of Hera Syndulla in Star Wars Rebels, now shares it with fans at Star Wars conventions via special t-shirts, creating the ‘Potassium Troopers’. It’s an amazing honor to have this piece used to bring smiles and laughter to fellow fans.
