Idiotic Trump Tariff for USA

Important Update: U.S. Ends Duty-Free Allowance for Imports Under $800 (£800)

Heads Up!

The U.S. just scrapped its duty-free rule for imports under £800 (Trump…no word left to describe this berk). That means your painting order could now have extra customs fees based on where it was made. l’ll declare everything correctly, but please expect possible additional costs. UK being 10%

What’s Changing

Starting August 29, 2025, the U.S. will remove the “De Minimis” exemption that allowed parcels valued under £800 to enter duty-free. This means paintings will now face customs duties and extra paperwork.

And yes, it’s confusing. Even the experts are calling this a complicated move for businesses and customers alike. To make matters more frustrating, these changes come from a push under the Trump-era trade policies, policies many consider unnecessarily complicated and poorly thought out for small businesses and art lovers.

What This Means for You

  • Extra Costs
Paintings under £800 are no longer exempt. Meaning there maybe a 10% extra charge in customs.

  • More Paperwork
For me but please make sure all info you give me is correct.

  • Customer Awareness
U.S. buyers need to know they could face unexpected fees at delivery…. this is the most important bit.

To all my friends in the USA im so sorry!
