The mural always gets the applause. The practice canvas gets trust issues.
Miss Skate was the painting I made before tackling the Skater Girl mural. It was where I could mess things up in private before confidently making those same mistakes on a very large public wall.
The studio is where the real fun happens though. You can experiment, push things too far, pull them back, add bits, paint over them, then accidentally discover the thing that makes the whole piece work.
Somewhere between all that chaos, spray paint and questionable decisions… she appeared.
So, ladies, gentlemen and everyone rolling somewhere in between… may I introduce Miss Skate.
